back story....
you see, back when i was on effexor (we called it e-FIX-her because it is a fantastic drug) for anexiety/depression, i got myself the cutest tunic. i love it so much and i looked really good in it because of effexor. (effexor has a nice little side effect that will cure anyones depression...you drop weight! fast and alot of it!)
im in no way fat now, but lets just say i doubt i will be back down to 122 lbs anytime soon. so sad. i really want to wear it. so it sits in a bucket full of way way too small clothes.
********
last weekend i found simplicity 2696 online (sooo much easier than looking thru those HUGE books at the fabric store with kids asking if they can leave now!).it was on sale for $1.99 at joannes and then i found this great blue fabric ($5.99+60% off!).
it claims to be an 'easy' pattern, and i bet it is if you dont have kids who need you for everything love you to peices. but it only took 1 morning to make, so i guess that isnt too bad.

here is me wearing it as a cover up for the pool. id say for the shore, but we are in utah and there isnt one.
(btw-i love my new swimsuit! but you wont see a photo of me in that here!)
modeling it as if im taking an evening walk around the neighborhood with the hubby and kids. these are my new capris i scored at kohls. if you dont have a kohls nearby, i feel sorry for you.

you cant see these in the photo, but i have these colorful bracelets on. i love wearing them in the summer! (also for kohls. i should get paid for this endorsement!)
final photo, me and shopping/hanging mode.
i just got those bright yellow ball-y bracelets at jc pennys and i adore them!
so there you go!  my very first shirt! mrs lane would be so freaking proud!
and remember that fabric-you will see it again soon! (like tomorrow-another project!)
oh, and i really like my legs right now! they are looking wonderful! i have to blame going to jazzercise 5 times a week for those!

Wow, nice job! And I'm totally sympathizing with you- last year I was 122 lbs, too. And I bought tons of cute clothes. Now I'm 140, and they just will not fit. I think I need to start looking at pattern online.

Also, I love your bright bracelets for summer! So fun.

I'm jealous that Effexor allowed you to drop weight! I also love the stuff, but it's helped me gain. gain. gain.

122....I'm sorry, is that a weight? I've never heard of such a thing! I thought 122 was an IQ!

Love the tunic. My favorite color too! I have a pattern for one, but haven't tried it yet. I need to do some sewing for myself! Stopped by from Jenny's!

What a fun stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's Letter "W".

Girl, not only can you sew but you can ACCESSORIZE? Geez. Green with envy here.

I'm glad you said that about Jazzercise. I used to love that. I need to find out if there are classes close to me...I want legs that look like that, too!

Thanks for linking up!

It was wonderful to see you here!

A+

You are just so cute, Miss thrifty :). You found a great color of fabric, too. (I've found Simplicity are the worst for directions--go figure.)

You did a great job. I sew but clothing is not my love. I like crafty sewing, curtains, pillows, quilts.

The tunic is adorable! I wish I could sew, but after the great home-ec incident of Jefferson Jr. High I'm pretty much banished from the sewing machine lol. Love those yellow bracelets! Kathy

What a great tunic. I'm on an anxiety drug but it's done nothing for my weight except make me hungry, ha. Great W post.
