Friday, May 13, 2011 | | 2 comments
well, i spent it all on my of course!
here are some of the highlights...
a regular cardigan that turns into...
way funky cardi!
(this is from sears!)

notice the cute yellow shoes! i got this cardi from pennys.
(yes-i must have a thing for cardigans)

shoes! white from target and animal from di (originally from payless, and unworn!)

cool butt bracelet from pennys.
and there is more to come!
don't  you love shopping with me?!

the upside to being sick...

Thursday, December 16, 2010 | | 4 comments
i have been suffering with sinus problems for the past 2 weeks. not the best way to spend december,
but it is better than having strep.
well, until the sinus problems turn into strep.
but there is an upside to this!
my ent dr wrote me a prescription for meds at my last visit because he KNEW i would end up all strep-y again.
today i filled it, and had a coupon for a $10 store gift card from target with a new rx.
so while i was waiting for my drugs, i found these...
and since they were only $9.98 they were practically free!
so thank you strep throat-i got some new shoes!

why i love parker getting new shoes...

parker needed new church shoes.
this sounds like an easy task, but it isn't. he is very particular about what kids and color
(slip ons in brown. and he is now a size 4).
but he has NO PROBLEM not matching his clothes.
but we found some shoes, at only the 4th store (payless), without too much pain.
and being that payless is ALWAYS having a buy one get one half off, i just strolled down the womens size 8 aisle.
and found these!

and they were marked down to $9, making them exactly $4.50!
how could i not have them!
so many outfits to wear them with.
so little time...

time to switch my purse...(aka, more mid life crisis shopping)

some of you might remember when i was hitting my mid life crisis and bought this amazing bag! i still love it but with me needing to change to fall (not so much because of the weather as because i'm sick of summer), i put her away for awhile.
sad. she is so pretty.
but thankfully, i have my crazy aunt trish (who thought id be sad seeing both of my kids in school all day and sent me $50 kohls gift card!) who came to my rescue!
so i got this new bag...

i love giraffe prints! ($9.99 plus another 15% off!)
and (among other things) i got a pair of shoes.
well, sandals really. i got the ones on the left 2 1/2 years ago at kohls. they are my 'go to shoes' and even with a little heel, they are so comfy!
i got replacement 'go to shoes' on the right! same company (mootsies tootsies), same size, but a newer version.
im pretty happy with them for many reasons, but here is a big one...
that is right baby! $8.99 plus another 15% off!
and, yes all my shoes are in boxes (if they came in boxes)

the ones that aren't in boxes are only because they didn't come in boxes. i love my shoes boxes!
yes, i know im sick.

(thank you david bowie...)
there i am, walking thru walmart, getting ONLY what was on the list (you KNOW how hard that is! way too easy to get distracted in that store) and i saw a rack in the middle of the isle with clearence shoes on it.
usually i dont go near those shelves because they only ones left are either purple miley sneakers (and never in my boys size! ha ha!) or grandpa canvas slip on shoes. (and chris still like the velcro ones) (im just sooo funny today!)
but i looked anyhow (i get distracted so easy by shoes!) and found these sweet babies!
and only $2!
how could anyone expect me to pass those up?
so i got something that wasnt on my list.
thankfully it was only $2.
my usual not-on-the-list find is much more.
(saving chris some money again!)
and no-these ARE NOT part of my birthday gift. these are because i am awesome. and because my other red shoes arent anything like these!
or $2.
