more fun with beer caps

Tuesday, June 8, 2010 |
a few years ago i asked my brother to save his beer caps for me so i could craft with them. a month later i had a shoe box come ups full of bottle caps. having a little brother who will sacrafice his liver for his big sister is a wonderful thing!
i needed wanted some red, white and blue decor for memorial day.
thankfully, i have much spray paint in the basement.
i started by priming all the bottle caps white,
then did a 1/3 blue, 1/3 red and left the rest alone.
for now they are haning on my shutter in a jar,
but that might change. im still thinking on this one.
i might have to put a few more things on here to get the look i want.
but for now, it stays.

any suggestions on things to hang? im open to almost anything.
**and yes, that is a box top that i spray painted on.
it seems that now that the grass is green,
hubby doesnt want me to decorate it with spray paint anymore.
he is no fun at all...**

I've had some bottle caps sitting in a paper bag for over a year. I've finally spray painted them white, but now what?! Maybe I'll make some magnets out of them. Or I'll just wait and see what you do with yours!

My 10 year old would love this. He picks up rusty crusty ones off the parking lot surface still. lol
