my try at hair toys

Monday, June 14, 2010 |
little m was here for a few days while her mom visited family in nola and flordia,so i tried to be all girly for her.
we visited horses at a friends home.
we shopped.
and we made hair bows.
that is sadly all the girly i can get.
we started by finding some really cute fabric in my stash and got some of my stretchy hairbands.
i was doing this all on the fly, i got 2 small peices of fabric and zig zagged them around the band (see photos. i hope that can help better explain what i did)
then i zig zagged a million times back and forth across the fabric and the band, so that isnt moving.
ever.
for the flower part we just cut fabric and tulle and hot glued it all together. we also found the cutest sparkley brad for the middle.
i hot glued the flower to the fabric that i sewed to the band and...
is this kid not the most beautiful thig ever? she is only 10, but she is about 5'4" tall, skinny and totally unaware that she is beautiful!
she must take after her mom.

This is really cute!!! The colors are great, and I'm such a sucker for tulle! I'll have to try it.
