since i LOVE LOVE talking about myself, we will do that part first!
1. i hate yard work. i like my yard to look nice but i really hate doing it.
2. im not fond of dusting either.
3. i didnt cry when my kids went to preschool, kindergarten or even first grade. i actually love each milestone they reach and love the freedom their growing up gives us both.
4. i wish i looked more italian, like my neice jackie. she got all the good genes.
5. i havent had a boob job. when i first met my husband (i didnt find this out until later) he thought i did.
6. i wish i could let my kids meet my nana. she has been gone since 1994 and i still miss her daily.
7. we let our kids watch the simpsons. think bad of me if you want, unfriend me if you want, but some amazing family talks have started because of that show.

ok-seven things you dont already know about me...
1. the first 'real' play i was in was a musical. i actually had a solo. im not afraid to sing in public, but lets just say dogs cry when i sing. sad. the director forgot to audition my voice (i assume because she was blown away with my acting ability). they cut my solo but i kept the part as 'the weeble who wobbled and fell down'.
2. my first concert was olivia newton john in the lets get physical tour. yup-im that old. i went with my best friend nicole and her parents.
3. the first concert i took my niece britney to was the monkees. i love the monkees and when she was 3 i started her liking them. when she was 7 i took her to a concert that i scored free tickets for and we had a BLAST!
4. the first time i went to the race track in new jersey was with my nana. she told me to lie and say i was 14. i was only 12. either way, why? it is the most boring thing ever.
5. the first car i had was a 1980 amc eagle station wagon. it was an amazingly strong car.
6. the first movie i saw in a theatre (that i remember) was a herbie movie.
7. the first credit card i had was from the bon ton in york pa. it isnt around anymore. quite possibility because i wasnt there to spend money at their store.

first i want to say that i love going jane. we are WORLDS apart on so many things...
she loves the rodeo, ive never been.
she pretty much lives on a farm, my house just smells like one.
she has a beautiful garden, im slowly killing all plants. even ones not in my yard.
BUT...
here is where we are bonding...
her kids are jedis. she has even had repair a lightsaber. which should give her some kind of rank in the jedi academy, dont you think?

now that is somthing my high school english teacher never would have expected!
(well, al gore hadnt invented the internet back then)

i might need to get a fancy dress...
in the past week i have been honored by 2 fantastic bloggers with awards!

i have to say i LOVE sharon and think it is so awesome that she gave me this !then from good on summer, i received this
like i said-im gonna need a fancy dress to accept all these awards!
and maybe a maid, a gardener, a chef...
now for both awards, i need to pass this onto other blogs that i love. and with beautiful blogger, i need to tell 7 things about me.

1.im going to our churches girls camp in a few weeks. im not happy about not showering for 5 days.
2.i love love love reading and can read super fast AND remember what i read. it drives my husband nuts.
3. i have 2 boys and i like it that way. no-we arent going to keep trying until we have a girl.
4. i brought up to believe that if you werent italian, that was sad. i kninda still believe that.
5. im the oldest child, but the shortest at 5'6". my one brother is 6'6" and the other 6'.
6. im not an animal lover. not a HATER, i just dont want pets. we do go to the zoo, so i hope that counts for something.

1.if i could eat rippled potato chips with cream cheese without worrying about my waistline,
i would eat them every day of my life!
2. i was on tv with willard scott (the today show) back in the early 1990s.
3. i love winning at uno and sorry. even if it is only against my kids (no, i dont cheat).
4. garlic bread from harmons is a gift from the bread gods.
5.just like meg at mbellished, im a HUGE xandau fan. i even dressed up like kira for halloween one year. i still have those rollerskates!
6. i have proof that God has a sense of humor...im the girls camp leader at my church this year.
7. i nap daily at 1pm. everyday. and i dont have guilt about it.

it might not be lamp shaped like a leg, but this is a major award! this might even be better than a leg lamp...stephanie from my frugal lifestyle bestowed this upon me for this post about the cargo pants bag. i really loved that bag and hated giving it away. britney better start following my blog

2. shanty 2 chic...2 sisters who love remaking homegoods. they would marry ralph lauren smoke glaze if they could. (that is a good thing) and their latest project is a must for the next wedding i go to!
3. the meanest mom...anything but that. should be called the funniest mom. this post shows life with a husband out of town. love her sence of humor.
5. blue cricket designs...ok who hasnt heard of becca and this blog? she always has giveaways (BONUS) and tell me you wouldnt want this nursery in your home and i know you are lieing!
6. oopss i craft my pants...this name alone makes you just want to be friends! and this might be cheesy but i used this for my teacher's valentines day gifts!
7. fashionable finery...i have to admit i knew rebekah when she was a wee little girl. but she makes beautiful jewerly and even has how-to's if you are brave.
7 things about me you dont know...
1. i never finished college. nothing seemed good enough to want to spend the rest of my life doing then. i still like learning about everything but still dont know what i want to be when i grow up.
2. i had a 4.0 gpa in what college classes i did take! (i throw that in my little brother's faces!)
3. i thought i wanted 3 kids until i had my first. then i decided that 2 will be enough. and most days, im right. some days, 2 is too many.
4. i miss my nana every day of my life. you will see many post about her on here and it is because i love her that much! she made my life wonderful and even when other people made me feel ugly or unwanted, she made me feel beautiful and perfect!
5. i got to name my youngest 'nathan' after i made a deal with chris. we couldnt agree on a gas or electric range in the new home. i told him that he can have electric (a decision he now regrets!) if we name our 2nd child nate. and when this range dies and i get my gas one-i still got to name him what i wanted!
6. i love to sing. i love to sing LOUD! and i really suck at it.
7. i like being almost 39 (april 20th for those of you who dont know!). i think i look pretty good, i dont have grey hair and my life is wonderful. now-this isnt the life i thought id have-but i wuoldnt change a thing!
