what can YOU spell?

a long long time ago i got a bunch of these wood 2x4 square blocks. the person who donated them to d.i. had panted and sanded all these, and then i come along and buy them for 25 cents each.
so worth it!
so i primed them.
then painted them black, but not with black spray paint. that was my original plan, then modge podge some letters on the blocks.
i used chalk board paint.
can you see where i'm headed with this?
so this is kinda halloween-y.
this one worked out well too.
then my nate came home from school, picked up the chalk and wrote this...
yes friends, that says 'poo'.
very typical nate.
although, poo can be very scary. so maybe i will leave it up.

Love what you did with the blocks and now I'm thinking about all the little things I could be spraying with chalkboard paint...love that stuff. I first thought it said POD and then realized it said POO. Kids come up with the cutest stuff, I think I'd leave it just like that:-)

I just busted out laughing so loud everyone is looking at me like I'm nuts!

I'm a bit confused on what they originally were. If they are recycled blocks, they qualify for the Recycled Halloween Craft Challenge I'm hosting! :)

This is such a great idea!!! As for the "Poo", you know I have a 2 year old and 4 month old and so I say YES-- poo is indeed quite scary... ;-)

Thanks for linking to the party!
