a long long time ago i got a bunch of these wood 2x4 square blocks. the person who donated them to d.i. had panted and sanded all these, and then i come along and buy them for 25 cents each.
so worth it!
so i primed them.
then painted them black, but not with black spray paint. that was my original plan, then modge podge some letters on the blocks.
i used chalk board paint.
can you see where i'm headed with this?
this one worked out well too.
then my nate came home from school, picked up the chalk and wrote this...
yes friends, that says 'poo'.
very typical nate.
although, poo can be very scary. so maybe i will leave it up.

Poo could also be Pod...either way it's funny.

Love what you did with the blocks and now I'm thinking about all the little things I could be spraying with chalkboard paint...love that stuff. I first thought it said POD and then realized it said POO. Kids come up with the cutest stuff, I think I'd leave it just like that:-)
Poo...so funny!!
That's so funny! I love the chalkboard paint idea so you can change up your spooky greeting. Come link up to my Halloween linky party too (if you want to.)
Very cute idea! It would be fun to have a bunch and use them for all the holidays. Thanks for sharing!
I just busted out laughing so loud everyone is looking at me like I'm nuts!
I'm a bit confused on what they originally were. If they are recycled blocks, they qualify for the Recycled Halloween Craft Challenge I'm hosting! :)
These are super cute! I love how it can change whenever the mood strikes...awesome!
Very cool concept! I love that you can change the letters around since its chalkboard paint.
How fun!! Great idea!
Something else I need chalkboard paint for.... :)
What a cute idea! I have a can of chalkboard paint in the garage, I might have to make some!
Fun idea!I should have a chalk paint link party... there's so much you can do!
This is such a great idea!!! As for the "Poo", you know I have a 2 year old and 4 month old and so I say YES-- poo is indeed quite scary... ;-)
Thanks for linking to the party!
