every november, we get out this old, laminated tree that i made 7 years ago and stick it to our back door. then leaves are made and we spend one monday night naming what we are thankful for.
here is this years...
(yes that is a tree and NOT a bush!)
there were the usual answers...family, friends, food...
then the not so normal answers...kyle (whittingham. coach of the u of u football team. that was chris's idea.), world peace (that was nate. he might be a mr. usa in training.), america (this is parker. he has a man-crush on stephen colbert.), computers (i will blame the kids for this, but im thankful for them too!)...
im really in the giving thanks mode right now.
i love fall and all the beauty it brings.
i love that all 3 of my boys were born this month.
i love that we can put on the fireplace when it is cold.
and of course i love all my readers!
so i will be sending this amazing necklace to the person who is thankful for the weirdest thing.
and yes, this is a christmas necklace, but by the time send it, it will be time to wear it!
and yes, i will have a chain by then!
you have until sunday midnight people!

I'm thankful for my monthly gift! We all know what that means! ;) Is that wierd enough? LOL! Have a great day!
Lots of people think I'm weird (shut up) but I am truly thankful for my trials. Each horrible awful trial in my life has brought unimaginable blessings. When I lost my mom it was a huge and it hurt beyond belief but I've come to appreciate motherhood more. Kaitlyn's health trials have made her spunkier, mine have made my children more independent and more empathetic. I'm grateful for the trial that led us to moving to Herriman because without it I would never have met you and you are a very big blessing (now if that isn't weird I don't know what is) :) I'm also thankful for spiders because it makes Kaitlyn and Jacob come running to me for help.
Oh I love this. What a great idea
We always do something like this at christmas

Such a cute "tree"! I love your husbands gratitude for Kyle. I love Kyle! In fact, I have a bit of a crush on him, despite the fact that he is ALMOST old enough to be my father. I don't think I am grateful for anything weird enough for you. :) My answers would be the standard ones. Family, faith, friendship....etc...
I'm thankful for my taste buds. They bring me great joy.
love the deer, where did you find him?
I am thankful that my neighbors finally got curtains. It's a train wreck over there. =)
I am thankful for my family especially my healthy and happy 2 year old daughter. But the weirdest thing I'm thankful for? YOU! Now that's GOT to be the weirdest.

I'm thankful for being a stepmom. My kids are great -- challenging, and thought-provoking. The experience makes me a better person, and a better mom. (That's way too sappy, and they'd totally roll their eyes if they read it, but it's true.)
I am not grateful for the slippers I'm currently wearing. They make my feet sweat.
So - I'm thankful for my other slippers, which don't cause uncomfortable toes.
I'm grateful that when my stitches fell out my stuffing didn't. :)
And I'm grateful for a really good friend who will go to the store with me even though I'm wearing a sweater with deer sniffing each other on the front. that kind of friendship is something to be thankful for!
I am too late for this but I had to read what "weird" things people are grateful for.
I am grateful for the days the dogs sleep until sunrise.
